A reload bonus is an ongoing bonus offered mainly to already registered members with a lot of loyalty to the poker room. Reload bonuses do not end and are offered throughout a player’s history with a particular site. All one has to do is prove their commitment to playing occasionally and being present in the poker room most of the time.
Poker loyalty; the criteria
Poker rooms can determine the most loyal players in many ways. Some players will stay logged on the whole day but not play any games and as such do not qualify for the bonus. Simply being logged on does not mean you’re loyal to the website. Players who tend to play many raked hands could be considered loyal players. Such players get to earn points which are later converted to merchandise or real cash which in this case is the reload bonus.
Every raked hand counts
Having played a minimum number of raked hands means playing poker games which entail paying the playing fee which is usually just a small percentage of the pot. Each game earns the players a certain number of points and once a figure given by the poker room is reached, points are awarded to the player. Points could also be earned by players who join paid tournaments. This does not mean that the player has to win the game. The only requirement is that they pay for the tournament and play it through.
Losers still win!
Losing does not disqualify one from earning the points. As long as one participates in the tournaments and pays the tournament fee, the points are automatically awarded. Reload bonuses are currently being offered by most poker rooms in a bid to encourage players to spend more and more time in the poker rooms. They’re also meant to give players the morale that as they continue being more loyal to the poker rooms, they’re constantly making a bankroll regardless of whether they’re winning games or not.
